SKIING
Steep: $81 day ticket Dec. 16-April 1.
Cheap: $51 opening, Nov. 22, then $63 through Dec. 15. Or go with a season pass for $369, and throw in Copper

BREAKFAST
Steep: Fresh Tracks Breakfast gives 100 lucky riders slope access at 8 a.m. Saturdays, followed by a hearty home-cooked
breakfast in The Lodge at Sunspot ($30).
Cheap: Crooked Creek Saloon in downtown Fraser for the daily breakfast special, the $1.50 Pioneer Pancake or the
$3.95 Breakfast Sandwich.
DINNER
Steep: The Ranch House Restaurant at Devils Thumb has been voted the most romantic eatery in the valley. Everything’s
made from scratch, with produce grown locally, seafood fl own in, and organic beef and pork from the nearby Niman

Cheap: Hit the Pub in downtown Winter Park every Tuesday for dollar taco night. Arriba!
BAR
Steep: Downtown’s Untamed Southwest Grill with six handcrafted beers created onsite by the Wildcreek Brewing Co.
Top it off with a late-night martini — shaken, not stirred — at the nearby Sushi Bar.
Cheap: The train whistle at Mary Jane’s Derailleur Bar signals the start of Happy Hour at 3 p.m. every day. Our fave:
the Mary Jane Ale. Then hit Smokin’ Moe’s for such headliners as Tab Benoit.
CAN’T MISS
Steep: Special Train for Gold fundraiser ($350), which lets you ride the Ski Train roundtrip from Denver with members
of the US Ski Team, race against them, then enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and fi ne dining before the whistle calls
you home.
Cheap: The Spring Splash, free entertainment held on the last day of every season (April 13). Skiers and boarders try to skim
across an icy pond in front of carnage-hungry revelers, with body parts a telltale sign of the water’s temperature.
