A week in Whistler

It’s home to the most skiable acres in North America —
8,171 at last count. It’s about to install a spanking new
gondola that will link its two peaks. It’s got a pedestrian
village that other resorts would sell their snow for. If
Whistler Blackcomb doesn’t have it all, it comes closer
than just about anyplace else on Earth.
We solicited two of Whistler’s best (and best-looking)
skiers — ripper Alyssa Wilson and ski guide Kirk Becker
— to give us the insider’s tour. Groomers, glades, chutes,
terrain parks; Whistler has the terrain and this season has
the togs.
