BAD DAD

Ariel Goodman, 15,
Alta maid-in-training...
Why is this girl smiling? Perhaps at 14, Ariel is too young to
know that her father plans to trade away her education for a
life of dirty dishes and unmade beds so that he may satisfy
his craving for fresh powder and free lodging.
Meghan Sitcoske, 24, Server,
Rustler Lodge since 2004
Home: Rhode Island
Were you a skier before? Not a very good one. Last year I got 100 days
of skiing in. It was sink or swim. You improve quick.
Your future? I know I can’t do this life forever. But I don’t know how
I’ll ever leave.
Brittany Bubba’ Lewis, 21, Server,
GMD since 2006
Why Alta? Because there’s no better place in the world.
What do your parents say? My dad tells me, “I hope you ski every day.”
How long will you return? Till I die!
Brian Good, 24, Prep Cook,
Rustler Lodge since 2004
Home: Saratoga, New York
Does work ever get in the way of skiing? You can’t play all
the time, but you can pretty much just wake up and ski till
you gotta work.
Advice to others: Go to college fi rst. If you come here fi rst,
you won’t leave.
Do friends visit you? Oh yeah, friends come and stay on my
couch at the Rustler. But if they come, they gotta work.
They usually have to shovel snow.
“I know I can’t do this
life forever. But I don’t
know how I’ll ever leave.”
